Starter Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable (two ground cables on diesel engines).
2. Raise and support front of vehicle.
3. Remove starter braces, shields, brackets and clips that may interfere with starter removal.
4. Remove starter attaching bolts, then lower starter.
5. Disconnect wiring harness from starter and remove starter.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
