Exhaust Back-Pressure Modulated EGR System: Notes

Two types of back-pressure EGR valves are used, either a positive or negative back-pressure valve. These valves may be identified by the letter in the last position of the part number. A "P" designates a positive back-pressure valve and "N" a negative back-pressure valve. Operation of these 2 systems is as follows:
