Power Steering Pressure Switch (PSPS)

The PSPS is a normally closed switch which opens when power steering pressure is indicated. Normal voltage is supplied to the ECM through the PSPS. Under pressure, the switch opens and voltage loss is noted at the ECM. ECM uses this signal to extend ISC plunger and stabilizes idle speed.
