Chart B-3, CCDIC Problem

You are here because the odometer problem has been isolated to the programmer, BCM, CCDIC components or related data link circuitry.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. This step restores circuit No. 800 between PCM pin No. 2A9 and ALDL into the data circuit. If odometer reads zero, the circuit is shorted to ground or voltage.
  2. This step isolates problem to the area between programmer and BCM (including data circuit).
  3. This step isolates the area between PCM pin 2A9 and ALDL pin "M". Disconnecting the CCDIC will verify circuit No. 800 between CCDIC pin A8 and ALDL pin "M".
  4. This step isolates the fault to the CCDIC or circuit No. 800.
