Selecting Clear Codes?

NOTE: Clearing codes will result in loss of any Snapshot data taken when code is set. Codes should only be cleared after diagnosis is complete.

NOTE: Code RO51 (SIR code) cannot be cleared without the use of a Scan tester.

Selection of CLEAR CODES? test type will result in the message CODES CLEAR being displayed along the selected system name. This message will appear for 3 seconds to indicate that all stored trouble codes have been erased from memory. After 3 seconds, display will automatically return to the next available test type for the selected system.

After a code has been cleared, a complete ignition cycle and possible test drive should be made. Recheck for codes to ensure that code does not reset.
