Change Oil Soon Circuit:

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:
The BCM calculates the oil life index based on coolant temperature, engine RPM and vehicle speed. When the index is between 0% and 10%, the DIC will display "CHANGE OIL SOON." This message will also display if the oil life index is greater than 0% and the vehicle mileage since the last oil change is greater than 6750 miles. After an oil change, the index may be reset by displaying the oil life index and then pressing and holding the "AVG SPEED" and "RANGE" buttons simultaneously until the oil life index shows 100%.

TEST CONDITION(S):
None

FAILURE CONDITION(S):
1. Oil life index is between 0% and 10%.
OR
1. Oil life index is greater than 0%.
2. Vehicle mileage since last oil change is greater than 6750 miles.

ACTION TAKEN:
1. Display "CHANGE OIL SOON" message on the CCDIC.
