DTC P032: Open Map Sensor: Action
- PCM turns on the "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" MIL.
- PCM disables long term fuel trim.
- PCM uses a substitute MAP value based on engine RPM and throttle position switch status.
- PCM disables evaporative emission control solenoid.
- PCM disables torque management.
- Transaxle shift adapts are maintained at current values.
NOTE:
Numbers in list refer to circled numbers in diagnostic flow chart, see Fig 1. For circuit identification see Fig 2.
- If MAP sensor or circuitry are open, PD02 will read 10-16 kPa.
- Checking if circuitry from sensor to PCM is able to respond to a 5 volt signal on MAP input. A reading of 102-105 means wiring and PCM are OK.
- Checking for a short to ground on CKT 432 or an open in CKT 432, CKT 474 or in the MAP sensor.
- Checking for CKT 432 shorted to ground.
- Checking if 5 volt signal is reaching the PCM. If signal is present, replace PCM.
