Notes On Fault Tree

NOTE: Numbers in list refer to circled numbers in diagnostic flow chart.
  1. This procedure reduces spark advance. Engine RPM should drop as spark is retarded.
  2. Enter diagnostic before grounding CKT 424. This procedure grounds the BYPASS circuit and causes the ignition to operate in MODULE MODE. Being in diagnostics will prevent a code (Code 23) from setting. Entering bypass mode will cause idle fluctuations and reduced engine power. Do not confuse this with the miss, stumble, hesitation condition.
