Memory Function Switch Inoperative
- If diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If diagnostic system check was not performed, go to DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Using test light, backprobe between MMM connector terminal E1 (Orange wire) and memory function switch connector terminal "E" (Black wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 6).
- Using test light, backprobe between MMM connector terminal E1 (Orange wire) and appropriate memory function connector switch terminal. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Operate suspect memory switch. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 7).
- Using test light, backprobe between MMM connector terminal E1 (Orange wire) and appropriate MMM connector terminal. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Operate suspect memory switch. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 8).
- Replace MMM. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Check for open in Black wire between memory function switch and ground. If circuit is okay, go to next step. If circuit is not okay, go to step 9).
- Replace memory function switch. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Repair problem in appropriate wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Repair open in Black wire between memory function switch and ground. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
