DTC B1656: EEPROM Write Error: Testing

  1. Perform door control system check. See DOOR CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. After performing system check, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Clear any DTCs. Turn ignition switch to OFF position, and then to RUN position. If DTC B1656 still exists, go to next step. If DTC B1656 does not exist, system is okay.
  3. Replace Left Front Door Module (LFDM). After repair, go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Reconnect or install all components and connectors. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Clear any DTCs. Perform DOOR CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
