Power Windows Inoperative

  1. Perform power window system check. See POWER WINDOW SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. After performing system check, go to next step.
  2. Remove PWR WDO circuit breaker located in rear junction block. Using DVOM, measure resistance between circuit breaker terminals. If resistance is 0-2 ohms, go to step 4). If resistance is not 0-2 ohms, go to next step.
  3. Replace PWR WDO circuit breaker located in rear junction block. Recheck system operation.
  4. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ground and rear junction block connector PWR WDO circuit breaker terminals (Orange wires). If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, see appropriate POWER DISTRIBUTION article in WIRING DIAGRAMS for diagnosis.
  5. Repair suspect circuit No. 1040 (Orange wire) for open or high resistance at rear junction block. Recheck system operation.
