One Rear Window Inoperative All Others Operate Normally
- Using test light, backprobe inoperative rear window switch terminals "A" (Brown wire) and "E" (Dark Blue wire). See Figure . Press inoperative rear window switch to UP, then DOWN position. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go tostep 5).
- Using test light, backprobe inoperative rear power window motor connector terminal "A" (Brown wire) and "B" (Dark Blue wire). Press inoperative rear window switch to UP, then DOWN position. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate in both positions, go to step 4).
- Check inoperative rear window motor connector for poor terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace inoperative rear window motor. Recheck system operation.
- Repair open in or short to ground in Brown wire or Dark Blue or Dark Blue/White wire(s). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Recheck system operation.
- Using test light, backprobe between inoperative rear window switch connector terminals "F" (Dark Blue wire) and "D" (Dark Green or Light Green), then backprobe terminals "F" (Dark Blue wire) and "H" (Purple wire). If test light illuminates in both cases, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate in both cases, go to step 7).
- Check inoperative rear window switch connector for poor terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace right rear window switch. Recheck system operation.
- Using test light, on right rear, backprobe between master window switch connector C1, terminals "F" (Purple wire) and "E" (Light Green wire). On left rear, backprobe between connector C1 terminals "C" (Dark Green wire) and "H" (Purple wire). Press inoperative window switch on master switch to UP, then DOWN position. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate in both positions, go to step 9).
- If right rear window is inoperative, repair open in Light Green or Purple wire between right rear window switch and master window switch. If left rear window is inoperative, repair open in Dark Green wire or Purple wire between left rear window switch and master window switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Recheck system operation.
- Check master window switch connectors for poor terminal contacts. If terminal contact is okay, replace master window switch. Recheck system operation.
