Trouble Shooting: Notes
NOTE:
Left front window switch is referred to as master switch.
NOTE:
To prevent misdiagnosis, ensure no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) exist. See BODY CONTROL MODULE article.
- Check operation of Retained Accessory Power (RAP). See appropriate wiring diagram in POWER DISTRIBUTION article in WIRING DIAGRAMS.
- Ensure WINDOWS circuit breaker is operating by operating sunroof, if equipped.
- Ensure power windows are free of mechanical binding.
- If rear power window is inoperative from master switch but operates from individual switch, replace master window switch.
- If left front express down feature is inoperative but power window operates when switch is held, replace master window switch.
- If right front window does not operate from master switch but operates from individual switch, check circuit No. 70 (Pink wire) for an open, check for poor terminal contact at master window switch connector or if circuit and connector contact is okay, replace master window switch.
- Ensure aftermarket electronic equipment that may affect integrity of other systems is installed correctly (if equipped).
