Lumbar Support System Check (A45)

  1. Place gear selector lever in Park position. Move left seat lumbar switch to IN and OUT position. Driver seat lumbar support should move in and out. If lumbar support does not move in and out, go to LUMBAR SUPPORT DOES NOT MOVE IN OR OUT (A45)  .
  2. Move left seat lumbar switch to UP and DOWN positions. Driver seat lumbar support should move up and down. If lumbar support does not move up and down, go to LUMBAR SUPPORT DOES NOT MOVE UP OR DOWN (A45)  or LUMBAR SUPPORT INOPERATIVE (A45)  .
  3. Depress No. 1 button on memory function switch. A single chime should be heard and lumbar support should move to position programmed for No. 1 button. Driver's seat, headrest, steering wheel and mirrors may also adjust to different positions set into memory seat module under No. 1 button. If seat does not function as specified, go to MEMORY SEATS SYSTEM CHECK  .
  4. Depress No. 2 button on memory function switch. A single chime should be heard and lumbar support should move to position programmed for No. 2 button. Driver's seat, headrest, steering wheel and mirrors may also adjust to different positions set into memory seat module under No. 2 button. If seat does not function as specified, go toMEMORY SEATS SYSTEM CHECK  .
  5. Adjust left seat lumbar support to desired position. Lumbar support should move as commanded. Depress SET button followed by No. 1 button on memory function switch. Single chime will be heard indicating current lumbar setting as well as seat position, headrest position, steering wheel position and mirror position are stored for No. 1 button. Move left seat lumbar support in all directions. Lumbar support should move as commanded. Depress No. 1 button on memory function switch. Single chime should be heard. Lumbar support should move back to position programmed for No. 1 button. If left seat lumbar support does not respond or memory does not operate as specified, see MEMORY SEATS SYSTEM CHECK  .
  6. Move gear selector lever to Park position. Depress UNLOCK button on driver-1 RKE transmitter. Depress UNLOCK button on driver-2 RKE transmitter. Driver seat will move to one of two programmed exit positions, steering wheel will move to one of three programmed exit positions.
