Data Link Communications Diagnostic System Check

  1. Connect scan tool. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Attempt to establish communication with Platform Zone Module (PZM). If communication cannot be established, go to next step. If communication can be established, go to next step. If communications cannot be established, go to DATA LINK COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM CHECK  .
  2. Check for communication DTCs. Communication DTCs begin with "U" (example - Uxxxx). If any communication DTCs are set, go to appropriate diagnostic and repair procedure. If no communication DTCs are set, system is okay at this time.
