DTC B1973: High Power Control Fault: Testing

  1. Perform BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS. Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect PZM connectors. Remove controlled power relay located in rear compartment relay center No. 1. Using DVOM, measure voltage between controlled power relay connector terminal B7 (Black wire) and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If battery voltage is indicated, go to step  4 . If battery voltage is not indicated, go to next step.
  3. Replace PZM. See PLATFORM ZONE MODULE (PZM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  4. Repair short to battery voltage in Black wire between controlled power relay and PZM. After repairs, go to BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
