Self-Diagnostic System: Notes

NOTE: Body Control Module (BCM) may also be referred to as Platform Zone Module (PZM).

NOTE: Vehicles with analog instrument panel cluster are equipped with a Climate Control Panel (CCP). Vehicles with digital instrument panel cluster are equipped with a Climate Control Center (CCC). References to CCP also include CCC. CCC and CCP may be referred to as A/C-heater control panel.

Platform Zone Module (PZM) is equipped with a self-diagnostic system, which detects system failures or abnormalities. When a malfunction occurs, PZM will store a 5-digit alphanumeric Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC).

After PZM DTCs have been displayed, service mode can be used to clear DTCs and exit diagnostics or individually perform other tests on different systems. To exit diagnostic mode, press DEFOG or MODE button on CCP, or turn ignition off. DTCs will not be cleared. System will return to normal vehicle operation.
