DTC B1007: EEPROM Write Error: Testing

  1. If body control system diagnostic check has been performed, go to next step. If body control system diagnostic check has not been performed, perform body control system diagnostic check. See BODY CONTROL SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  2. Clear DTCs. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Recheck for DTCs. If DTC B1007 resets, go to next step. If DTC B1007 does not reset, system is okay at this time.
  3. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Replace Rear Integration Module (RIM). See REAR INTEGRATION MODULE (RIM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After replacing module, go to next step.
  4. Reconnect all components and connectors. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. After clearing DTCs, perform body control system diagnostic check. See BODY CONTROL SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
