DTC B2476: Cellular Phone Select Service Switch Malfunction - Radio: Testing
- Perform OnStar(R) diagnostic system check. See ONSTAR(R) DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
- Using a DVOM, measure 3-button OnStar(R) assembly power circuit for an open or short to ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If fault is located and repaired, go to step 9 . If fault is not located and repaired, go to next step.
- Using a DVOM, measure 3-button OnStar(R) assembly ground circuit for an open. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If fault is located and repaired, go to step 9 . If fault is not located and repaired, go to next step.
- Check for poor harness connections at 3-button OnStar(R) assembly. If fault is located and repaired, go to step 9 . If fault is not located and repaired, go to next step.
- Using a DVOM, measure voltage between power and ground circuits of 3-button OnStar(R) assembly. If voltage is about 3 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not about 3 volts, go to step 7 .
- Replace 3-button OnStar(R) assembly. After replacement, go to step 9 .
- Inspect for poor connections at RIM. If fault is located and repaired, go to step 9 . If fault is not located and repaired, go to next step.
- Replace RIM. After replacement, go to next step.
- Use scan tool to clear DTCs. Operate vehicle within conditions to set DTC. Recheck for DTCs. If DTC B2476 is present, go to step 2 . If DTC B2476 is not present, system is okay.
