DTC B2560: RKE Message Validation Error: Description

Keyless entry receiver is integrated into the BCM. Keyless entry transmitter signals contain specific data to indicate which function is being requested. Keyless entry receiver transfers the request to BCM for performing the requested function (LOCK/UNLOCK doors, etc.). A message validation counter within keyless entry receiver is increased each time a valid transmitter ID is received with security information that cannot be validated. When the message validation counter reaches 16, DTC B2560 will be set and receiver operation will be disabled for at least 20 seconds. A current DTC B2560 will change to a history DTC when a valid message is received or when scan tool is used. An ignition cycle must occur before DTC can change from current to history status.
