DTC B1973: High Power Control Fault: Testing
- If body control module diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If body control module diagnostic system check has not been performed, go to BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect PZM connectors. Remove controlled power relay located in rear compartment relay center No. 1. Using DVOM, measure voltage between controlled power relay connector terminal B7 (Black wire) and ground. See Figure . If battery voltage is indicated, go to step 4 . If battery voltage is not indicated, go to next step.
- Replace PZM. See PLATFORM ZONE MODULE (PZM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Repair short to battery voltage in Black wire between controlled power relay and PZM. After repairs, go to BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
