DTC B1982: Device Power 1 Circuit High: Testing
- If body control module diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If body control module diagnostic system check has not been performed, go to BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Turn ignition off. Connect scan tool and select PZM data list. Monitor voltage displayed on scan tool. If reading is 9-15.5 volts or less, go to step 4 . If reading is other than 15.5 volts, go to next step.
- Check for instrument panel DTCs. If B1982 is not set, go to next step. If B1982 is current, repair charging system. See DTC B1982: DEVICE POWER 1 CIRCUIT HIGH .
- Replace PZM. See PLATFORM ZONE MODULE (PZM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
