Door Control
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Install scan tool. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Attempt to establish communication with Driver Door Module (DDM). If scan tool communicates with DDM, go to step 3 . If scan tool does not communicate with DDM, go to next step.
- Attempt to establish communications with other modules connected to same serial data line (PCM, EBTCM, IPC, etc.). If scan tool communicates with other modules, go to DATA LINK COMMUNICATIONS DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS in BODY CONTROL MODULES - SEVILLE article. If scan tool does not communicate with other modules, go to DATA LINK COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS in BODY CONTROL MODULES - SEVILLE article.
- Using scan tool, select DISPLAY DDM DTC function. If any current DTCs are stored, go to next step. If no current DTCs are stored, go to step 5 .
- If loss of class 2 serial data communication DTC(s) U1016, U1064, U1065, U1066, U1255, U1300 and/or U1301 are set, perform appropriate DTC test. See BCM DTC DEFINITIONS table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in BODY CONTROL MODULES - SEVILLE article. If DTCs other than those listed are set, perform appropriate DTC test. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE INDEX table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- If customer complaint is with power mirrors, see POWER MIRRORS - SEVILLE article. If customer complaint is with power door locks, repair power door locks as necessary. See wiring diagrams in appropriate REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS article. If customer complaint is not with power mirrors or power door locks, perform power window system check. See POWER WINDOWS .
