Memory Inhibit/Enable

Memory Seat Module (MSM) receives gear position and ignition inputs through class 2 messages. When ignition is off, memory record, memory recall, personalization recall, and exit recall functions are allowed. When ignition is on and gearshift lever is in Park, only personalization recall is deactivated and all other memory functions are allowed. When ignition is on and gearshift is out of Park, memory record is allowed, but all other memory functions are deactivated.

Driver Information Center (DIC) is used to set and change tilt/telescoping steering wheel personalization information. Instrument cluster provides a class 2 message to steering column Tilt/Telescoping Module (TTM) which specifies TTM to enable or disable entry and exit settings.
