Power Seat System Check

NOTE: Perform this check before diagnosing symptoms. After performing system check, proceed to appropriate testing procedure under SYMPTOM TESTS  unless otherwise specified.
  1. If driver power seat does not operate, see TEST 1: POWER SEAT INOPERATIVE - WITHOUT A45  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  2. Operate driver's seat rear height switch up and down. Rear of seat should move up and down. If rear of seat does not move up and down, see TEST 7: POWER SEAT DOES NOT TILT REARWARD - WITHOUT A45  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  3. Operate driver's seat front height switch up and down. Front of seat should move up and down. If front of seat does not move up and down, see TEST 5: POWER SEAT DOES NOT TILT FORWARD - WITHOUT A45  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  4. Operate driver's seat switch to slide seat forward and backward. Entire seat should move forward and backward. If entire seat does not move forward and backward, see TEST 3: POWER SEAT DOES NOT MOVE FORWARD/REARWARD - WITHOUT A45  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  5. Operate driver's seat back recline switch forward and backward. Seat back should move forward and backward. If seat back does not move forward and backward, see TEST 9: POWER SEAT DOES NOT RECLINE - WITHOUT A45  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  6. Operate driver's headrest switch up and down. Headrest should move up and down. If headrest does not move up and down, see TEST 11: POWER HEADREST DOES NOT MOVE UP/DOWN - WITHOUT A45  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  7. If passenger power seat does not operate, see TEST 1: POWER SEAT INOPERATIVE - WITHOUT A45  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  8. Operate passenger's seat rear height switch up and down. Rear of seat should move up and down. If rear of seat does not move up and down, see TEST 7: POWER SEAT DOES NOT TILT REARWARD - WITHOUT A45  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  9. Operate passenger's seat front height switch up and down. Front of seat should move up and down. If front of seat does not move up and down, see TEST 5: POWER SEAT DOES NOT TILT FORWARD - WITHOUT A45  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  10. Operate passenger's seat switch to slide seat forward and backward. Entire seat should move forward and backward. If entire seat does not move forward and backward, see TEST 3: POWER SEAT DOES NOT MOVE FORWARD/REARWARD - WITHOUT A45  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  11. Operate passenger's seat back recline switch forward and backward. Seat back should move forward and backward. If seat back does not move forward and backward, see TEST 9: POWER SEAT DOES NOT RECLINE - WITHOUT A45  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  12. Operate passenger's headrest switch up and down. Headrest should move up and down. If headrest does not move up and down, see TEST 11: POWER HEADREST DOES NOT MOVE UP/DOWN - WITHOUT A45  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
