STOPLAMP Switch: Removal

Remove left-side instrument panel sound insulator. Remove left side front floor outlet duct from beneath instrument panel. Disconnect stoplamp switch harness connector. Depress brake pedal sufficiently to relieve pressure on switch, and use angled needle-nose pliers to compress both the locking tabs on switch. See Fig 1 . Remove stoplamp switch.
