Power Window System: Operation: Notes
Vehicle is equipped with power windows controlled by door modules. Each passenger door window can be operated, either from a power window switch built into the Driver Door Switch Assembly (DDSA), or from a power window switch mounted on its associated door. Driver's door window can be operated only from driver door power window switch built into DDSA.
When Driver Door Module (DDM) receives a window switch request from DDSA, or any passenger door module receives a window switch request from the DDSA, or any other window switch, appropriate door module examines request and checks to see if it has received a message from any other control module prohibiting window movement. If conditions are correct, and no prohibitive messages have been received, appropriate door module then supplies power and ground to its associated window motor opening or closing window as requested.
