Rear Window Lock-Out Feature

Rear window lock-out switch is built into the Driver Door Switch Assembly (DDSA). Lock-out function is used to prevent both rear windows from being operated from their locally mounted switches When lock-out switch is pressed momentarily, lock-out switch LED indicator is illuminated, and DDSA receives switch signal. DDSA sends switch status, via a class 2 serial data message to Left Rear Door Module (LRDM) and Right Rear Door Module (RRDM). LRDM or RRDM then prohibits rear windows from being operated from rear door window switch. When lock-out function has been activated, both rear door windows can still be operated from the driver's door by using window switches built into DDSA.
