Enable Criteria

The following conditions are for running a passive test (engine in open loop).

• Start-up coolant temperature is 41-176°F (5-80°C).
• Engine coolant temperature is 41-226°F (5-108°C).
• Intake air temperature is 41-163°F (5-73°C).
• Mass airflow is less than 35 grams/sec.
• Air/fuel ratio is more than 12.1:1.
• Manifold absolute pressure is more than 7.3 psi (50 kPa).
• Battery voltage is more than 10.2 volts.

The following conditions are for running an active test (engine in closed loop).

• A failed or inconclusive passive test.
• Engine load is less than 80 percent.
• Engine speed is more than 1000 RPM.
• Engine is operating is closed loop fuel control.
