Removal & Installation: Generator: Installation

  1. Position the generator to the A/C compressor and engine. See Figure . Install the generator mounting bolts. Tighten the generator mounting bolts to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Connect the wiring harness connector to the generator. See Figure . Connect the battery positive lead and install the generator output BAT terminal nut. Tighten the generator output BAT terminal nut to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Press the protective boot on to the generator output BAT terminal. Install the engine cooling fans. Install the drive belt. Connect the battery negative cable. Tighten cable to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
