Removal Procedure
- Remove the window garnish molding from the door frame. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR .
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the window defogger, if equipped.
- Use J 24402-A
, J 39032
, or equivalent in order to remove the rear window.
- Leave a base of urethane on the pinchweld flange.
- The only suitable lubrication is clear water.
- With the aid of an assistant, remove the window from the opening.

IMPORTANT:
Before cutting out a window, apply a double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces and the interior trim.
CAUTION:
If a window is cracked but still intact, crisscross the window with masking tape in order to reduce the risk of damage or personal injury.
IMPORTANT:
Keep the cutting edge of the tool against the rear window. This will allow the urethane adhesive to be separated from the window.
