Installation Procedure

NOTE: If the mass air flow (MAF) sensor is installed backwards, the system will go rich. An arrow cast into the plastic portion of the sensor indicates proper air flow direction. The arrow must point toward the engine.

Install the MAF/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor to the air cleaner assembly, if necessary.
Locate the 4 air cleaner duct alignment studs.
Connect the MAF sensor connector before securing the air cleaner assembly grommets to alignment studs.
Position the air intake duct (1) to the throttle body (2).
Tighten the air intake duct clamp at the throttle body.
Use a GM approved non-silicone lubricant in order to help with installation.
Connect the PCV fresh air hose to the resonator duct.
Connect the MAF/IAT sensor electrical connector.
