Installation Procedure

  1. Install a new throttle body gasket into the groove on rear side of throttle body. Be sure gasket upper and lower tabs (1) are aligned to the throttle body properly.
  2. Install the throttle body assembly to the water outlet.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
    IMPORTANT: Always use a torque wrench in order to obtain the proper torque.
  3. Install the throttle body attaching bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the throttle body bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Connect the throttle body assembly electrical connector.

  5. Install the air intake duct (1).
  6. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  7. Connect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.
