Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Intake Manifold & Cylinder Bolts

  1. Position the fuel pipe shield behind the high pressure fuel pump. Take care not to damage the insulation behind the shield.
  2. Install the fuel pipe shield to cylinder bolt (1). Hand tighten at this time.
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the fuel pipe shield to intake manifold bolts (1).

    Tighten 

    1. Tighten the fuel pipe shield to manifold bolts to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).
    2. Tighten the fuel pipe shield to head bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  4. Install the wiper transmission. Refer to Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement .
  5. Install the fuel injection sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LLT) .
  6. Install the cross vehicle brace. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement .
