Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning .

  1. Remove the primary fuel tank module. Refer to Primary Fuel Tank Module Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: Identifying Fuel Level Sensor Electrical Connector Locking Tab

    NOTE:

    Do not pull on the connector wires.

  2. Press in the locking tab (1) and disconnect the fuel level sensor electrical connector.

  3. Disconnect the fuel level sensor electrical connector (1).

    NOTE:

    Do not touch the resistor circuit board.

  4. Disengage the locking tab (1) on the fuel level sensor by pushing inward.

  5. Slide the fuel level sensor (1) upward to the stationary lock (2).

  6. Remove the fuel level sensor (1).
