Installation Procedure

  1. If installing a new trailer brake control module, hand start the 3 trailer brake control module bolts.
  2. Position the trailer brake control module to the frame rail.
  3. Slide the trailer brake control module (1) forward on the frame rail.
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Tighten the trailer brake control module bolts (1) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  5. Connect the trailer brake control module electrical connector.
  6. If installing a new trailer brake control module, program the module. Refer to Control Module References .
