Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the I/P multifunction assembly switch.
  2. Ignition ON, verify the scan tool Park Assist Switch parameter is Inactive.
    • If not Inactive, test the rear park disable signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the object alarm module
  3. Ignition OFF, test for greater than 1.0 ohm of resistance between the rear park assist disable signal of the I/P multifunction assembly switch and ground.
    • If less than 1.0 ohm, test the rear park assist disable signal circuit at the I/P multifunction assembly switch for a short to ground.
    • If all circuits test normal, replace the I/P multifunction assembly switch.
