Circuit/System Verification

Vehicle ON, verify no DTCs are set.
- If DTCs are set
  Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- If no DTCs are set
With the charge cord NOT connected to the vehicle battery charger receptacle, verify the vehicle plug-in charging status indicators are OFF.
- If the vehicle plug-in charging status indicators are not OFF with the charge cord disconnected from the vehicle
  Refer to Plug-In Charging Indicator Malfunction .
- If the vehicle plug-in charging status indicators are OFF
Vehicle OFF and connect the charge cord to the vehicle battery charger receptacle.
Verify the vehicle charge status indicators are operating properly.
- If the vehicle charge status indicator is solid yellow
  Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If the vehicle charge status indicator is not illuminated
1. Vehicle ON.
2. Verify the Charge Cord Connected message is displayed in the instrument panel/message center.
  NOTE: Vehicle must be ON and not in Service Mode for message operation.
  - If the Charge Cord Connected message is displayed, refer to Plug-In Charging Indicator Malfunction .
  - If the Charge Cord Connected message is NOT displayed, refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If the vehicle charge status indicator is operating properly
All OK.
