Removal Procedure

  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief
  2. Fuel Pump Cover» Remove - Fuel Pump Cover Replacement 
  3. Fuel Feed Pipe @ Fuel Pump» Disconnect - Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement 
  4. Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe» Remove and DISCARD - Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement 
  5. Electrical Connector (1) @ Fuel Pump (2)» Disconnect

  6. Fuel Pump Bolt (1)» Remove and DISCARD [2x]

    CAUTION: Alternately loosen the fuel pump bolts one turn at a time until the pump is fully disengaged from fuel pump lifter follower. Trying to remove the pump bolts without even side-to-side loosening may result in pump plunger damage
  7. Fuel Pump (2)» Remove
  8. Fuel Pump Gasket (3)» Remove and DISCARD
  9. Fuel Pump O-Ring (4)» Remove and DISCARD
  10. Valve Lifter Follower (5)» Remove
