Installation Procedure

Remove the sunshade shipping pin (1) from the NEW sunshade before installation.

Install the sunshade drive (1) into the sunroof frame drive mechanism (2).

NOTE:
- DO NOT operate the sunshade switch without the sunshade installed.
- Sunshade frame drive mechanism needs to be in the full open position for proper alignment.
- The sunshade drive is located at the front part of the sunshade.
Install the sunshade tab (1) into the groove of the sunroof frame slot (2).

NOTE: Ensure that the sunshade tab is installed correctly for proper alignment.
Install the 2 rear sunshade bolts (1) to the sunshade (2) first for proper alignment of the sunshade.

Install the 2 front sunshade bolts (1) to the sunshade (2) and tighten all 4 bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).
After installing the sunroof sunshade, initialize the sunshade motor. Refer to Sunroof Window Motor Initialization .
Verify the sunroof sunshade motor for proper operation.
Install the headlining trim panel. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (With Sunroof) .
