Diagnostic Aids
- Resolve any current DTC's that are present relating to the Electronic Transmission Range Select system prior to programming module. Refer to Electronic Transmission Range Selector Description . Faults in any component or module that work together in this system may cause the programming/setup failure.
- Replacement of Transmission Range Control Module requires proper installation of module and in some cases a linkage between the module and the transmission. If installation is not performed properly, programming or setup procedure may fail.
- If programming/setup failure occurs, refer to the wiring diagnostics to resolve any electrical faults, check Transmission Range Control Module and linkage installation if applicable and attempt reprogramming 2 additional times before replacing Transmission Range Control Module.
