Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Power Steering Pump And Bolts

  1. Position the power steering pump (2) on the vehicle.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install and tighten Power Steering Pump Bolts (1) (Qty: 3) to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  3. Install Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Outlet Hose (2) @ Power Steering Pump
  4. Engage Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Outlet Hose Clamp (1)

  5. Install NEW Power Steering Gear Inlet Hose Seals (2) (Qty: 2)

    Install NEW seals.

  6. Install and tighten Power Steering Gear Inlet Hose Bolt (1) to 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
  7. Install the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With J64)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With J55)
  8. Install Drive Belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement
  9. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding
