Unsuccessful USB File Transfer Event Recovery

  1. Move the vehicle outside (no roof obstructions and a clear line of site to the sky)
  2. Verify a valid internet connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) is available
  3. Verify the Digital Map Control Module Clock Status and GPS Accuracy scan tool information is VALID. If the displayed value is not VALID, drive the vehicle with a clear view of the sky for 5 minutes (no building obstructions and a clear line of site to the sky).
  4. Access the Service Programming System (SPS) and follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select K179 Digital Map Control Module - USB File Transfer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  6. At the end of programming, choose the "Clear All DTCs" function on the SPS screen.
  7. Road test the vehicle with a clear view of the sky for 5 minutes (no building obstructions and a clear line of site to the sky).
  8. Verify no DTCs have set.
