Removal Procedure
- Body Side Rear Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement - Remove
- Cover to protect the following parts from broken glass:
- Upper dash pad
- Defroster outlets and A/C outlets
- Seats and carpeting
- Carefully cut around the inside of the quarter modular window to expose the urethane adhesive bead.
Use care not to damage the retainers. If the retainer get damaged it will be necessary to use mask tape to tape it in place while curing.
- Keep the cutting edge of the tool against the inside of the window.
This will allow the urethane adhesive to be separated from the window.
If a window is cracked but still intact, crisscross the window with masking tape in order to reduce the risk of damage or personal injury.
Before cutting out a stationary window, apply a double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces and inner trim of the window.
If broken glass falls into the defroster outlets, it can be blown into the passenger compartment and cause personal injury.

Keep the cutting edge of the tool against the window. Do this from inside the vehicle to protect the outer painted surface.
