Replace or Reprogram Control Module

To program an existing or a replacement control module, perform the following procedure:

1. Access the Service Programming System (SPS) and follow the on-screen instructions.
2. On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select K43 Power Steering Control Module - Programming and follow the on-screen instructions.
3. On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select K43 Power Steering Control Module - Configuration and follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Clear DTCs.
NOTE:

The following must be performed in order for the EPS software to relearn the steering center position.

5. Raise the front wheels off the ground.
6. Ignition ON, engine running.
7. Rotate the steering wheel to the left lock position and hold tightly for 4 seconds.
8. Rotate the steering wheel to the right lock position and hold tightly for 4 seconds.
9. Repeat steps 7 and 8.
10. Lower the vehicle.
