Glow Plug Controller

Glow plug module controls glow plug system in 3 steps: pre-glow, after-glow, and off. During pre-glow, the circuit turns on the "WAIT" lamp and heats glow plugs until they are hot enough to start the engine. During after-glow, circuit turns off "WAIT" lamp and keeps power applied to glow plugs. When engine is turned off, module cuts off current to glow plugs.

A set of thermal controls in the module govern pre-glow and after-glow operation by sensing engine temperature. Module also has an over-voltage feature which protects glow plugs from battery voltage higher than 14 volts. Module is located on the left rear side of engine.
