Ignition System: Testing: Coil

Disconnect electrical connectors from coil. Check resistance between coil positive and negative terminal, using an ohmmeter. Resistance should be 0.4-0.5 ohms. Check resistance between coil positive terminal and high tension terminal. Resistance should be 7500-10,000 ohms. If coil fails any of these test, replace coil.
