Clutch Assembly: Installation

  1. Position clutch disc and pressure plate and support. Clutch disc is installed with damper springs toward transaxle. Install pressure plate bolts. Tighten bolts evenly and gradually until tight, to avoid possible clutch distortion.
  2. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Lightly lubricate release bearing sliding surfaces and input shaft with grease. Install transaxle and adjust clutch cable.
