Coolant Temperature Sensor
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain cooling system. Disconnect coolant temperature sensor coupler. Remove sensor from intake manifold. Connect ohmmeter to sensor. Immerse sensor sensing part into water.
- Gradually raise water temperature and read resistance on ohmmeter. See Fig 1 . If resistance at each temperature is not equal to graph reading, replace sensor.
