Fuel-Cut System

  1. Ensure fuel-cut solenoid has a clicking sound when ignition switch is turned on or off, but do not start engine. If no clicking sound is heard, check solenoid has a good connection.
  2. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. With clutch engaged and transaxle in neutral, increase engine speed to 3000-4000 RPM.
  3. Ensure engine speed changes when idle microswitch lever on carburetor is moved. Engine speed should not change when clutch is disengaged.
